If you would like to schedule a tour of the facility, please contact the CHI office:: February 2008Donald Haughey and Lonnie Avra have just returned from a marvelous visit to the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico. Don states "I was there in the 1990's when Dr. Ann started up the program in Puerto Rico. Lalita and Leola were both down there and we all three spent time together with Dr. Ann. Lalita and Leola have kept the program running ever since." He adds, " Lalita has devoted her life to the program Dr. Ann developed, and her high energy keeps things moving."Don missed seeing Leola, who is on Sabbatical lecturing in California. Lonnie says," It was fantastic to go down there with Don. Going to the Ann Wigmore Institute with him was like going to the local Catholic church and taking the Pope with you. It is impossible to imagine that they could of treated him with more respect and honor than they did. They gave us the red carpet treatment. Donald Haughey, the Founder, was personally trained by Dr. Ann Wigmore who encouraged Don to open an institute in the Midwest. Don undertook the mission to build CHI after healing from a terminal illness. He says “Dr. Ann is my angel of mercy” and “she saved my life”. In return he has offered the world a place in which to heal. Dr. Ann said, “To rebuild the body’s health, we must feed the body living, organically grown, uncooked foods, nature’s way to health.” The Creative Health Institute offers a 12-day residential program focusing on detoxification and rejuvenation. You return home with the skills necessary to maintain a high-quality healthful living program.
